Bohunt School Wokingham Welcomes Professor Robert Winston To Officially Open School
It has been an immense pleasure to welcome Lord Robert Winston to our school to celebrate formal opening, along with key guests from the Borough Council, Dawnus PLC and numerous other parties who have had a significant association with the project prior to, during and beyond the school’s opening.
Bohunt Education Trust has a firm commitment to provide an exceptional educational experience to students, to enable them to develop into game changers of their futures. Our distinct ethos and educational philosophy encourages innovation and creativity, and enjoyment of learning, to equip young people with the skills and qualities necessary to be confident in themselves and successful in the world.
It has been incredible to be part of the journey at Bohunt Wokingham from the very beginning to see this vision come to life. Rarely do schools and young people get opportunities like this to start from scratch with new facilities and a blank canvas on which to evolve.
The project has been a significant investment for the Borough council and BET is delighted to be shaping the future of the new school and the new community that is growing around us.
Starting a new school is a unique challenge and it has been both a privilege and thrill to see how well the staff, students and their families have embraced the opportunities, difficulties and compromises that come with that. There have been challenges along the way and we are continuing to work hard to raise the bar ever higher, as we strive to see the best possible provision achieved for our young people and community. They only get one crack at education and we have a duty to make it the best it can be.
We would like to thank all those who have been involved with the school project over the past few years, from inception to delivery. It has been a mammoth task and is not over yet. We now look forwards and having firmly established Bohunt on the map in Wokingham, hope that the same public and political determination that brought the school into being, will see the journey completed and deliver the original intention of an 11-18 school for 1500 students by 2022.
