Bohunt School Wokingham Scoops Latest Award Win
The Under 13 Girls Football Team at Bohunt School Wokingham is celebrating success once again this term, having been crowned winners of the Female Team Award at this Year’s Wokingham Borough Council Sports Awards.
20 awards were up for grabs at the glitzy ceremony, hosted in Woodley, which aimed to recognise and celebrate Wokingham and the surrounding area’s sporting heroes.
The Bohunt students were delighted to get their hands on yet another prestigious award for their sporting triumph, following what has been a hugely successful two years for the team.
The award win follows a series of national achievements, including securing the top spot at the annual Red Housten Cup in October, as well as winning the national English Schools Football Association National Cup.
Bohunt School Wokingham has been providing high-quality education to hundreds of students in the local area since it first opened its doors in 2016. With high standards, innovative teaching and a focus on extra-curricular activities and opportunities, it has set out to develop its young people into future game changers. Its sporting success across the board has been reflective of this unique approach.
Ben Godber, Headteacher at Bohunt School Wokingham, said:
“We are thrilled that Bohunt School Wokingham’s Under 13 Girls Football Team has once again been recognised for its phenomenal sporting success, with another award win. This achievement is hugely deserved.
“It is brilliant that the team are representing the school so excellently not just on the national scale, but locally too, as sporting heroes. There really is no limit of how far the team can go, and we look forward to watching them to continue to grow, develop and succeed, with the backing of the whole school constantly behind them!”
