Bohunt Wokingham Celebrates Record-Breaking Open Evening

Bohunt Wokingham welcomed an unprecedented 1,158 visitors to its Open Evening on Thursday 3 October, setting a new attendance record for the school. 

The event showcased the school’s vibrant and growing community and exceptional educational opportunities, with families expressing their excitement about the prospect of joining Bohunt Wokingham. 

The Open Evening featured a diverse array of activities including bouldering on the climbing wall, toasting marshmallows in the outdoor classroom and even setting a teacher’s hands on fire in Science! There was a presentation from Headteacher, Jen Comber and other key staff members from Bohunt Wokingham were on hand to discuss the schools ethos and achievements. 

Current students guided visitors through various experiences, demonstrating the school’s commitment to hands-on learning. The evening buzzed with positive energy, reflecting the school’s welcoming and inclusive environment.

Visitors learned about Bohunt Wokingham’s house system, which ensures each student is known, nurtured and challenged. The school provides a wide range of experiences both inside and outside the classroom, such as paddleboarding, school productions, Trust competitions and a range of local and international trips on offer. As part of the Bohunt Education Trust, the school extols the ethos of ‘enjoy respect achieve’, aiming to prepare future ‘game-changers’. 

One visiting parent said, 

“We were so impressed at what is on offer at Bohunt Wokingham. My daughter and I are both very excited about joining the school and becoming part of the community.”

Jen Comber, Headteacher at Bohunt Wokingham, said:

“It was truly inspiring to see so many families engaging with our school community. The record turnout reflects not only our commitment to educational excellence but also the enthusiasm of our students and staff. We are excited to welcome our next cohort of game-changers.”

Bohunt Wokingham looks forward to welcoming its next cohort of game-changers and to continue providing an outstanding educational experience.
