Are you interested in training to be a teacher in Wokingham?
Teacher Training is now available at Bohunt Wokingham School as part of the Wokingham Secondary Federation’s partnership with the University of Reading. High-quality Initial Teacher Education (ITE) is offered in highly regarded and academically successful local schools.
Please see Wokingham Secondary Federation – Schools working with schools for details of the Federation and of those schools involved in its teacher training Hub.
The Federation offers many places to talented graduates for training to become teachers. We are looking to appoint excellent trainees who are enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and who have the ability and drive to become outstanding practitioners.
Details about the Federation and the courses on offer can be found on the Federation website at Availability of Places.
Depending on your subject specialism, you can now earn up to £30,000 tax free if you train to teach with us. Up to date details of funding for 2025 – 2026 trainees can be found at ITT funding.
For more details about the course, please see the University of Reading’s website at Institute of Education at the University of Reading.
The Get into Teaching website Get Into Teaching provides a wealth of additional and useful information about teacher training.
The Federation works in close partnership with local primary schools and is also able to offer training places for applicants interested in teaching the 5 – 11 age range.
