Intent

In Design and Technology lessons I will learn to…

• Approach solving everyday problems with creativity and resilience, whilst making use of the iterative design process to reflect and build on solutions I have created. 
• Apply theory learning to practical situations when working with materials and tools in a safe and encouraging learning environment.
• Explore the needs of others through a variety of projects, learning how to design with empathy and sustainability in mind.

This will mean I can…

• Produce innovative solutions to challenges faced using research and reflection to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Make informed decisions as a consumer by appreciating the social, moral, environmental and sustainability impacts that products may have.
• Access a wide range of in-demand STEM careers using the practical and digital skills and theory knowledge learnt in DT lessons.
