Intent

Our intent in the Psychology department is to provide opportunities for students to explore and develop curiosity of the human brain.

In Psychology:

• Students will critically evaluate research studies and theories to question the people and behaviour around them. 
• Students will use a wide range of media to explore different areas within Psychology. 
• Students will have the opportunity to apply skills from maths and science.
• Students will use their voice to demonstrate their critical analysis and challenge Psychological theories and Psychological research. 
• Students will develop links between their studies and the real world around them. 

Through the study of psychology Bohunt students will gain a new understanding of the people and behaviours to comprehend the world of today. Students develop transferable skills to use beyond the classroom and school. Students will become game changers through their understanding of the mind and applying this knowledge to their everyday interactions with the world. The study of psychology will truly help students to better understand themselves and those around them.
